American Society for Indexing

New York City Chapter

Welcome to the New York Chapter of the American Society for Indexing

The American Society for Indexing, Inc. (ASI) is a national association founded in 1968 to promote excellence in indexing and increase awareness of the value of well-written and well-designed indexes. The New York Chapter serves professional indexers, indexing students, and others interested in indexing, throughout the New York City metropolitan area and beyond.

Major meetings or events are held in the spring and fall of each year. In addition, informal networking luncheons are held frequently at New York City restaurants. All those interested in indexing are welcome. Please see our Chapter Events page for details.
